When Henson Farms was first established, it was described as “A Neighborhood of Rural Charm Close To Town.” Nestled between North Carolina Highways 150 and 220, and very near the new Interstate 73, Henson Farms' rural location is conveniently located close to town. Residents can be in downtown Greensboro in under 20 minutes, downtown High Point in 30 minutes and in Winston-Salem and Burlington in 40 minutes. And when the I-840 loop around Greensboro is completed, travel from Henson Farms to the Triad will be even easier.
Many residents are attracted to the proximity to the Piedmont Triad International Airport (PTI), which can be driven to in about 10 minutes, and are able to fly through a small, easy to navigate airport. Many of our residents have careers that require frequent air travel and the PTI airport is actually very easy to call your home airport.
Our neighborhood is also within a few miles of excellent public and private schools and is connected via walking trail to the Summerfield Community Park and Summerfield Elementary School. Henson Farms offers the best of both worlds -- a peaceful, quiet neighborhood in a town that has maintained its rural character and easy access to the many entertainment, cultural and work options of the vibrant Triad cities.
